New Release v.79 - May 21, 2024

We are excited to share the latest updates that have been deployed to enhance your experience and streamline operations within our platform. This release focuses on adding new features to customer functionalities, improving backend processes, and addressing administrative concerns to increase overall system efficiency. Here's what's new:

Customer-Focused Enhancements

  • Permit Request Options (LIV-1686): Added new features to the Permit section, including options to print and resend permit details via email, enhancing user convenience and accessibility. 
  • IC Details in AHJ Section (LIV-1747): Resolved an issue where the AHJ section was not displaying Inspection Company details correctly. Now, users can view all relevant IC information in the AHJ section without any hassle. 
  • Enhanced Order Details (LIV-1693): Updated the order details and invoice sections to include addresses after the premise name, providing clearer and more detailed billing documents for better record keeping.
  • State Column in Inspection Company Tab (LIV-1732): Introduced a new 'State' column in the Inspection Company tab to facilitate easier management and sorting of companies by state, improving user navigation and data organization.

Backend and Administrative Improvements

  • File Management Enhancements:
    •  Removal of Images from S3 After Edit (LIV-1734): Addressed the backend process to ensure that images are properly removed from S3 storage after they are edited, preventing data redundancy and clutter.
    •  File Deletion on S3 (LIV-1745): Enhanced file management to ensure that deleted files are also removed from S3 storage, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of file storage.
  • UI and File Upload Fixes (LIV-1744): Corrected an issue where the UI did not remove an extra uploaded file from the variable after it was deleted by the user, ensuring cleaner and more accurate file handling.
  • Max File Size Adjustment (LIV-1746): Adjusted the maximum file size for report edits to accommodate larger files, improving flexibility in report management.
  • Caching Improvements (LIV-1697): Enhanced the caching mechanisms on pages to reduce the frequency of cache clearing needed, leading to faster page loading times and a smoother user experience.
  • Premise List Dropdown Enhancement (LIV-1727): Updated the premise list dropdown to include a static option at the bottom, allowing users to add additional premises without needing to scroll through the list.
  • Unified Design for Update Buttons (LIV-1163): Standardized the design of update buttons across the platform to ensure consistency and reduce user confusion during operations.

Bug Fixes

  • Duplicate Error Message in Report Edits (LIV-1749): Fixed a bug where error messages were duplicated during report edits, streamlining user notifications for a better experience. 
  • Undefined Variable Issue (LIV-1743): Addressed and resolved an issue with an undefined variable that affected the backend processes, enhancing system stability and performance.

New Release v. 77 - Apr. 23, 2024

We are pleased to announce the latest improvements and new features coming to the LIV platform. This update focuses extensively on enhancing the backend functionalities and the design elements of the contact pages for AHJ, along with significant customer-focused updates. Below are the detailed changes included in this release:

Backend Enhancements

  • Feature Flags in Angular: Introduced feature flags to the Angular framework, which allows for more flexible feature deployment and testing without impacting all users immediately.
  • Email Handling Improvement: Addressed issues with email operations in the production environment, particularly affecting Gmail integration, to ensure reliable email communication. 
  • Renewal Date Bug Fix: Corrected a bug related to renewal date calculations, ensuring accuracy and reliability in date handling.
  • Inspection Reports Display for IC Users: Resolved a bug that caused inspection reports to not display in some instances for an Inspection Company User, restoring access to crucial data.

Updates and Improvements

AHJ Improvements

  • Bulk Assignment of AHJ Internal Inspectors : Users can now assign inspectors to multiple premises simultaneously, which greatly improves the efficiency of resource allocation and management.
  • Re-inspection Date Quick Selection: Added quick selection options for re-inspection dates (14, 30, and 60 days ahead), facilitating faster and more convenient scheduling.

Inspection Company Improvements

  • System Types Permission on Premise Edit: Enhanced permissions for IC users to add or edit system types from the Edit Premise Page, providing more flexibility and control in system management.

Customer-Focused Improvements

  • Inspection Company Certificate Management: Introduced a feature for managing inspectors' certificates directly on user profiles, which simplifies credential tracking and enhances the verification process.
  • System Type Filter Bug Fix: Addressed a bug where the system type filter was not displaying correctly in the past-due and upcoming renewal reports, ensuring accurate data filtering and usability.
  • Review Status Comment Requirement Removal: Changed the functionality so that altering the review status of a report by AHJ no longer prompts for comments, streamlining the review process and reducing unnecessary steps.
  • Adding Users and Certificates by Inspection Companies: Allowed Inspection Companies (IC) to add users and their certificates upon setup, facilitating better resource management and initial setup processes.

Release Notes v. 75 - March, 26th

We are thrilled to announce the latest series of updates and improvements across our platform. With a focus on enhancing usability, administrative features, and backend stability, we aim to provide our users with a more seamless and efficient experience. Below are the highlights of our latest release:

Backend Improvements improvement 

  • PDF Upload Optimization: Updated constraints to remove blank pages and limit PDF uploads to a maximum of 50 pages.
  • S3 Storage Clean-up: Implemented clean-up processes for AWS structure to improve data organization and access efficiency. 
  • Bug Fixes: Addressed a critical bug affecting the 'submit and save report' function and resolved Laravel model issues post-update for smoother backend operations.

Customer-Centric Updates New Feature 

  • Knoxbox Description Field: Added a description field for Knoxbox, allowing for more detailed information to be captured and displayed. 
  • System Type Field Adjustment: Made the Last Service Date optional instead of required when adding a system type, offering more flexibility in data entry. This is used to provide a known last service date of a system type that may be added to LIV that the inspection was submitted prior to go-live. This will allow you to enter a date, and then leverage the LIV notification system and reports to see next due date(s). This only needs to be used when adding a system type to a premise that a report was sent to the Fire Department, before LIV was available. 

Hotfixes fix 

  • Columnset Saving Issue: Adjusted columnsets to ensure they are saved correctly, addressing a critical usability concern.
  • Phone Field Resolution: Fixed an issue with the phone field in the create user modal, ensuring accurate data capture. 

Future Preparation New Feature Feature Request 

  • Some features such as the Internal Paid Report Section preparation work are not live yet and are in preparation for future releases. More to come on this as it becomes available.

New Release v. 74 - March 12

We are excited to announce the latest updates and improvements to LIVSafe.com. This release includes several enhancements and bug fixes aimed at improving the usability and functionality of our system. Here are the details of the updates included in this release:

Enhancements  New Feature 

  • Green Dot Indicator for New AHJs
    We've introduced a green dot icon to signal new Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) in the system for My AHJs list, making it easier for users to identify recent additions.
  • New Reviewed Status field in Inspection Report - AHJ's
    We've added a new column field to show a reviewed status of the inspection report to allow AHJ's to mark as not reviewed or reviewed to better organize inspection report. You can use the Edit option, to change the status of a report.
  • Last Service Date for System Type Entry - AHJ's
    We've added a feature that will allow you to enter a known last service date, when adding a System Type to a premise. This feature can be used where we know a report was provided prior to using LIV and we want to trigger a notification for the next report dates to system users. Typically this will be used where we don't have a report directly uploaded to LIV but was provided prior to the premise or system being added to LIV.
  • Updated Premise Download Export
    The premise download export feature has been updated for enhanced user experience and data handling including new column sets.
  • Rotate PDF Upload Reports
    Users now have the ability to rotate PDF reports upon upload, facilitating better document management and readability.
  • Contractor Letter PDF Upload
    We've added the ability to upload and to view/download the letter that is sent out to contractors informing them of the change to LIV. This way any AHJ can download and sent to potential new contractors or others that have not received the notification. This will be in the Notification Section of your AHJ profile.

Bug Fixes fix 

  • Fixed Hover Print Errors
    We've addressed and resolved the issue causing errors when hovering over the print option.
  • Renewal Dates
    We've addressed and resolved the issue that was not taking the latest uploaded report as the current renewal date per system type. This issue was mainly noticed when merging premises together and combining report uploads. We will now take the latest uploaded report as the primary to send notifications on and list in the system.

Administrative Updates improvement 

  • Several backend improvements and updates have been made to enhance the overall performance and security of the LIVSafe.com platform.

New Release V. 71 - February 28

We're excited to share the latest updates and enhancements to our platform. Our dedicated team has been hard at work implementing feedback and making improvements to ensure our service remains at the forefront of your needs. Here’s what’s new:

New Features & Enhancements New Feature improvement 

  • Document Title Accuracy: Updated the document title to match the template, ensuring consistency across our platform.
  • Sent By Field Update: Corrected the name in the 'Sent By' field for better clarity and accuracy.
  • Fire Alarm Monitoring Option: Added a 'Not Applicable (N/A)' option to the fire alarm monitoring query to accommodate more scenarios.
  • Email Template Improvement: Updated deficiency resolution email templates for enhanced clarity.
  • Inspection Report Enhancements:
    • Added 'Fire Station #' and 'Building #' columns to the Inspection Report screen as requested by AHJs.
    • Added timestamp functionality that calculates time spent on the report for better tracking and understanding of time spent on report
  • Menu Optimization: Moved AHJ Section to the bottom of the Menu section for improved navigation.
  • Locking Headers: Implemented locking for all headers in the 'My AHJ' section to prevent accidental adjustments.
  • Image Editing for Inspection Companies: Enabled Inspection Companies to edit or replace logos directly in the edit screen.
  • User Interface and Experience Improvements:
    • Adjusted the Order Details page to account for deleted (archived) reports, enhancing data integrity.
    • Revised verbiage on the Inspection Report Page for clearer communication. 
    • Enabled multi-select and archive functionality for reports, streamlining the management process.
    • Resolved an issue with hover messages in tables to ensure the correct information is displayed.
    • Updated the profile edit page to allow users to change their profile picture easily.
  • Map View Filters: Fixed an issue with filters on the map view not working when more than one is selected, improving usability.

New Feature - My AHJ Section Update 🙌

All, 

We are excited to launch a major overhaul of the My AHJ Section. Adding an AHJ to your platform Is now much easier, and you can sort by State and view all available Jurisdictions currently using LIV.

New Release LIV - v.69

Hey LIV Family!

We have a new release to announce: 

  1. NEW AHJ FEATURE- You can now select certain deficiencies you want to be included on the deficiency resolution notice. When sending a resolution notice you will have a selection feature to add and communicate on which deficiencies you are wanting to send a notice on. 

  1. NEW AHJ FEATURE- Premise labels can now be created and added when you are creating a new premise.
  2. NEW INSPECTION COMPANY FEATURE-   Inspection Company users now have a new field under their profiles titled 'Certification ID', where you can store your Certification ID for AHJ's to view. 
  3. CREDIT CARD UPDATE - If the Credit Card you have on file is expired, the system will lock the ability to upload reports. Please make sure your Credit Card information is accurate and up to date. We now have a notice that will be sent prior to your card expiration to allow you to update your credit card on file.

Hey LIV Family!

We hope you're enjoying your fresh start into the new year. We have a new release to announce: 

  1. New Feature  You can now add images and include the actual inspection report on the deficiency notice! This is for our AHJ users who utilize our internal reporting tool, but is available for External Deficiency Notice as well. When you send the notice, it will prompt you to select
  2. fix  Some filter, note viewing, and other small bugs have been fixed.
