🚀 LIV Platform Release Notes - September 2, 2025

This release focuses on platform stability, improved functionality, and enhanced user experience. Here's what's new:

✨ New Features & Enhancements

  • Post‑submission corrections via Pending Correction (IC can add deficiencies; no deletions): Enabled Inspection Companies to add deficiencies and change report status from Compliant to Deficient during the Pending Correction phase, while preventing deletion of existing deficiencies. Updated the workflow to ensure all corrections are initiated by AHJ, maintain a complete audit trail, and provide clear notifications and UI guidance throughout the correction and approval process. This enhancement improves deficiency tracking integrity, streamlines post-submission corrections, and ensures accurate communication to all stakeholders.
  • In-line Deficiency Management with Digital Reports: When using the digital reports with the auto-deficiency creation process, we've updated the workflow to include an inline modal that will populate the field data from the inspection form into the Deficiency details, allowing you to enter the deficiency details immediately and then save. This will save the deficiency to the Form workflow, and allow you to continue with your report process without having to scroll to enter additional details.
  • Automated Deficiency Follow-up Notification (Second Notice): We have now added an automated deficiency follow up email notification template that can be configured to send based on a time interval set by the AHJ. This secondary notification follow up can be configured to your preference and timing, and will automatically send a follow up notice to premises contacts informing them the deficiency is still past due. To enable this feature, please connect with our support team.

🛠 Platform Improvements

  • [AHJ]-[Parent AHJ sorter is not working properly]: Implemented and validated correct sorting logic for the AHJ parent column, ensuring that clicking the column title now consistently sorts entries as expected. This update improves data organization and enhances user experience when navigating and managing AHJ records.
  • User Detail Request - Add City and State to Company Details: Enhanced the Company Details section by displaying City and State information, ensuring these fields are accurately populated from the API and removing redundant address fields to present clear, non-duplicative company location details for users.
  • Adjustment Needed for Report Contact Visibility: Enhanced UI to ensure better visibility of contact information in Inspection Report Details page
  • Role-Based Comment Permissions and Edit/Deletion Restrictions on Reports: Enhanced role-based logic for comment section on Inspection Report Details ensuring clarity of when specific comments can be added/edited/deleted for all users including AHJ, Inspection Company and Premises users.
  • Filter By Internal Report Template Type: We've included a new Filter for Report Template Type, that can be used to filter off specific inspection template types. This is primarily used for Internal Reporting, but can also be used for any associated digital form templates being used in the system.
  • Past Due Inspection Report - Mass Email - Assign Template: Added the ability to send a mass email using the Past Due Template from the "Past Due Inspection Report" page. You can now select, and will have the ability to mass email any selected user listed in the Past Due Inspection Report page and will send or re-send the past due email template.
  • API: create webhooks api's: Introduced new API endpoints for managing webhooks, enabling users to programmatically create, update, and delete webhook configurations. This enhancement streamlines integration with external systems and automates event-driven workflows, providing greater flexibility and control for developers.
  • Add manual trigger for report processing flow: Introduced a manual trigger option for the report processing flow, allowing users to initiate report generation and processing on demand. This enhancement enables faster access to downloadable report URLs and attachments, improving workflow flexibility and reducing wait times for report availability.
  • Inspection Report Details - Deficiency List: Resolved in the inspection reports details page, under the outstanding deficiency view, we will now display the deficiency resolution date, and the resource that resolved the deficiency offering better visibility.
  • Premise Details - PrePlan Map Icons - Improvement: Enhanced the Pre-plan module to ensure that pins are searchable, and placed in a scrolling component for better useability. We also included the GeoZone assignement button to be placed at the top of the map for better functionality. This will improve the use of the Pre Plan Module
  • Custom Payment Receipt for Paid Internal Reports and Public Permit Payments: We've now added the ability to send invoices that will better represent the AHJ by offering a customized invoice template for use in internal paid inspections, and permits being offered. This will avoid end users receiving an invoice from LIV, where it primarily pertains to capturing a payment from the Fire Department
  • Corrections on system type creation at AHJ Child: Updated the system to ensure that premises assigned by a Child AHJ now correctly receive the appropriate child system types, and retroactively corrected existing reports to reflect these assignments. This enhancement improves data consistency and ensures accurate reporting for all affected premises.
  • Premises Details - Hydrant Fire Flow Field: We added a new field to the Premises Details to enter "Hydrant Fire Flow" to collect details associated to any Fire Hydrant and allow storage of Fire Hydrant Flow for tracking. This is an option field now available.

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Downloading Emailed Notices: Updated the email notice download functionality to ensure the full content of emailed notices is included in the generated PDF from the premises email log. Users can now reliably download complete email messages without missing or cut-off content, improving accuracy and record-keeping.
  • Fix Search Query Handling for Apostrophes in Premise Names (OpenSearch): Enhanced the premise search functionality by updating query handling and OpenSearch analyzer configurations to properly support apostrophes in premise names. Users can now reliably find premises whether or not they include apostrophes in their search queries, ensuring consistent and accurate search results.
  • Bug - [User List]-[Filter: Type - when you choose Owner type from filter, the filter label shows `Premise` instead of `Owner`]: Resolved user type filter to display Premise user, or Owner where applicable.
  • Bug - [Inspection Report]-[Zoom - the zoom label is hover showpages input and the value must be expressed in percentages]: Enhanced inspection report Zoom feature to ensure proper zoom on any PDF uploaded report in the Inspection Report Details page.
  • Bug - [Premise]-[Predefine search results do not filter the Premise List in AHJ and IC users]: Updated the search filtering logic for AHJ and IC users to correctly apply predefined search selections, ensuring the Premise list displays only relevant results. Resolved a backend error in the search helper function, enabling accurate filtering across all premise fields. Users now experience reliable and consistent search results when selecting predefined options.
  • Bug -["Clear All" button does not restore default sort order after removing filters ]: Updated the filter removal logic so that clicking the "Clear All" button now consistently restores the default sort order (most recent items first by creation date) across the Premises, IR, and Deficiency List pages. This ensures a predictable and user-friendly experience when clearing filters, aligning the behavior with user expectations.
  • undefined array key due date: Added validation to ensure the "due_date" array key is present before access, preventing undefined key errors and improving application stability. This update enhances error handling and ensures a smoother user experience when managing due dates.
  • [BUG] Schedule Re-Inspection Date Selection: Resolved bug where selecting a specific calendar date, instead of the pre-defined day selection now allows save and creation.
  • [BUG] - Deficiency Map View - Not displaying data or filtering to user: Resolved Deficiency Map View to display appropriately.
  • External Premise Creation Form For Fire Watch Feature: Updated the external premise creation workflow to correctly transfer and display the entered address, ensure the AHJ field is populated and editable upon approval, and fully render the linked external form data within the premise profile. These enhancements provide a seamless experience for users managing Fire Watch premises, allowing AHJs to accurately view and manage all submitted information.
  • State selection is missing data: Updated the data retrieval logic for state, country, and city selectors to ensure the full list of options is displayed. Adjusted backend queries and frontend rendering to prevent incomplete data loading, providing users with comprehensive and accurate selection choices.
  • Fix compatibility issues at FE: Resolved front-end compatibility issues by updating component logic and standardizing styling across supported browsers. These changes ensure a consistent and reliable user experience regardless of browser or device.
  • Bug - [Premise]-[Keep filter results when searching by predefine results]: Advanced Search component enhanced for when a specific result is selected, and will return that in the content view
  • No Report On File Notice: Made several improvements to the No Report on File logic, to ensure that the notice is only sent to those System Types, that do not currently have an Inspection Report associated.

🔥 New Feature: Fire Watch & Notifications

We’re excited to introduce a new Fire Watch feature inside the Premise Details view, giving AHJs and inspection teams more visibility and control when a building requires fire watch status.

🚨 What’s New:

🟢 Fire Watch Toggle
You can now mark a premise as on Fire Watch directly within the Premise Details page.

📩 Contact Notifications
When turned on, you’ll be prompted to select which premise contacts should be notified. They’ll receive an alert informing them the building has been placed on Fire Watch with your preferred verbiage and process.

📋 Coming Soon:

We're working on integrating a Fire Watch Form submission process, allowing field teams or contacts to submit Fire Watch documentation through an external form directly. For now, we have the ability to create a public form and place your Fire Watch Form as an external link in the email notifications.

💡 Why This Matters

Placing a building on Fire Watch is a critical step when fire protection systems are impaired. With this new feature, you can:

  • Track Fire Watch status directly in LIV
  • Notify stakeholders immediately
  • Document key decisions in real time
  • Stay compliant with NFPA and local fire code standards
