🔍 OpenSearch Integration Now Live for Faster Search and Smoother Navigation

We’re excited to announce a major infrastructure and performance upgrade to the LIV platform — the rollout of OpenSearch across key areas of the app.

🚀 What’s New?

We’ve implemented OpenSearch indexing and filtering for the following:

• Premises
• Inspection Reports
• Deficiency List

This upgrade affects both backend processing and frontend search experience, enabling:

✅ Faster search across large datasets

✅ Real-time filtering with improved accuracy

✅ More scalable infrastructure for future growth

✅ Foundation for autocomplete and full-text filtering enhancements

✅ Unified Search Bar for all data associated to your current view

💡 Why it Matters

Whether you're an AHJ managing thousands of properties or a contractor reviewing inspection history, search and report access just got significantly faster and more reliable.

This enhancement also enables new filtering options and improved data sync across systems — with more smart features on the way.

✅ What We Upgraded

Behind the scenes, we’ve:

• Migrated key views to use OpenSearch indexing
• Rebuilt the UI search experience for Premises, Deficiencies, and Inspection Reports
• Implemented autocomplete, filter by ID, and scalable architecture for future growth

⚠️ Note - OpenSearch is limited to view up to 10,000 records at a given time. To pair down the results, you can adjust by different filters in the dataset. You will notice a new view on the UI displaying the overall quantity of data based on the current search and/or filter results. 

🐞 Bug Fixes and Improvements

• Added the Contacts mailing address to the Contact Details in Premises
• Price List Header is now locked on the Price List View (Additional View for all assigned AHJ's by System Type coming soon!)
• Acceptance Test filter is now functionally showing properly
• Filter options for the Email Log have been enhanced
• Resolved an Issue where contacts were not displaying in the dropdown to send email notifications
